Coffee by Gscheid Haferl - freshly roasted in Bad Kötzting
Gscheid Haferl is a coffee roastery in Bad Kötzting in the Bavarian Forest. Since 2015 we have been roasting mostly single-origin coffees and our classic blends in a traditional drum roaster - dark enough for sweetness and body, light enough for the fine flavours from origin. Here you'll find the right coffee for your brewing method.
Espresso
Bold and chocolatey to fruity and modern: our espressos for portafilter, moka pot & co. - from classic Italian roasts to lighter versions with more aroma.
Filter coffee
Freshly ground and hand-brewed - our fine, deliberately compact selection of coffees particularly suited to filter brewing. From the classic mild gscheid.guad to fruitier varieties.
Bean-to-cup machines
Good coffee at the push of a button is no witchcraft: the right beans and a few settings make all the difference. We'll show you how.
Frequently asked questions
Which coffee suits my brewing method?
For portafilter and moka pot go for our espressos, for pour-over and filter machine the lighter filter roasts, and for bean-to-cup machines preferably the darker varieties. When in doubt: order a tasting set or taste your way through at our store in Bad Kötzting.
Dark or light roast?
A darker roast means: less acidity, more chocolate, easier handling. A lighter roast means: more fruit and a wider range of flavours. We roast both - the main thing is you like it.
